General

Q: What are the rules on joining the group?
A: Joining the group is as simple as hitting the button! Same goes for the side competition that we’ll be implementing this time around!

Q: What happened to the rest of the journals?
A: We’ve removed them and have taken screenshots of the advice in the comments in order to rework everything! This will be happening over the next couple of days!

Q: What media will be accepted for Y2?
A: Still most visual media! This includes flash comics, comics, and splash images!

Q: How many characters can we have?
A: One for the main OR side competition along with up to 2 NPCs. This would give you a total of three characters at maximum.

Q: What are the limitations on psychics and the likes?
A: Small amounts of Telekinesis like the characters you see in the games. No additional powers.

Q: What are the character creation requirements?
A: We’ll have a journal for that!

Q: What Pokemon are we allowed to use?
A: Anything besides legendaries. The legendaries are as follows: Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, Mewtwo, Mew, Raikou, Entei, Suicune, Lugia, Ho-Oh, Celebi, Regirock, Regice, Registeel, Latias, Latios, Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza, Jirachi, Deoxys, Uxie, Mesprit, Azelf, Dialga, Palkia, Heatran, Regigigas, Giratina, Cresselia, Phione, Manaphy, Darkrai, Shaymin, Arceus, Victini, Cobalion, Terrakion, Virizion, Tornadus, Thundurus, Reshiram, Zekrom, Landorus, Kyurem, Keldeo, Meloetta, Genesect, Xerneas, Yveltal, Zygarde, Diancie, Hoopa, Volcanion, Cosmog, Cosmoem, Solgaleo, Lunala, The Tapus, Type:null, Silvally, The Ultra Beasts, Necrozma, Magearna, and Marshadow.

Q: What about Shiny/Off-Color Pokemon?
A: One per team is acceptable.

Q: What moves can our pokemon learn?
A: Anything they can learn legitimately in the games.

Q: How are we going about Megas this time around?
A: They will be allowed after Round 1!

Q: Can we have more than one of the same Pokemon?
A: Yes!

Q: Can trainers and pokemon talk to each other?
A: That’s up to you. If you would like that in your entries that’s fine, but keep everyone else’s characters in-character.

Q: How do entry submissions work?
A: Within each round folder, we’d like you to submit your first page and have each page linked to the next for ease of access. We don’t want to clutter the gallery if lots of submissions happen at once.'

Q: Will Z-Rings be allowed?
A: Yes, Z-rings will be allowed, however you can only have one per team.

Q: How many megas/z moves can we have on our team?
A: You can one of each or two of either.

Q: What are the restrictions on items.
A: No duplicate items on your team!

Story

Q: Where does Apollo Y2 fall on the timeline?
A:
    xx10 - UBF Y1
    xx12 - BFOI Y1, UBF Y2
    xx14 - Hyperion Y1, BFOI y2
    xx14(?) - PDL
    xx15 - Apollo Y1
    xx18 - Hyperion Y2, BFOI Y3
    xx19 - Apollo Y2
    xx21 - Jubilee

Q: Will the story follow both the main and side competitions?
A: Mostly, no. The main story competition will follow a series of events and staged battles as planned and the side competition will mostly follow the Rangers and Coordinators in order to keep things organized and ensure that people from each category have a chance at an overall prize rather than only the main Comp. There will be events that involve the main competition and the Rangers side events, but that's about the extent of it.

Q: Will the Competition be set up in Apollo like the previous one?
A: In a way, yes, but there's more! While Apollo was revamped and rebuilt in some cases (we need to make quality of life and organization changes to keep everything clean and running smooth this time around), there has been setup taking place for a more organized competition. The prelims will take place in the Apollo City battle sector but after that there will be a tour around Apollo's surrounding islands and attractions with special battle arenas and stages set for the competitors. Any further info will be in the Story and Round journals.

Q: Will there be an overarching story this time around?
A: We will absolutely be following a more concrete guideline this time. The sad truth of the last run is that it was hastily put together and it clearly showed. You guys voiced your opinions in a way that helped us put in place a solid story this time!

Q: But if there's a more concrete story, does that mean we won't influence it?
A: Not at all! Last year we were crazy proud of how much people loved the way their stories influenced the information presented in the next journal. Given that as a base, this time around we will keep that kind of narration in order to make sure that everyone can see how their story meshes with the one we have setup in order to develop something unique. If anything we will treat our story as a guide that will be developed in part by your entries.

Q: So no random legendary at the end?
A: Nope! We'd like to avoid that kind of a happening this time. As much as we loved the outcome, it was overall a mistake on our part to rush such a crazy development.

Coordinators

Q: What are the rules on Coordinators having z stones or mega stones?
A: The same rule applies to Coordinators and Trainers alike. Both z moves and mega stones are allowed. You can have one of each or two of either on your team.
